Succulent Care 102: Propagating Succulents

One of the fun parts about having succulents is propagating new plants from the leaves of your existing plants!

To do this, take some leaves from the bottom of your succulent. I usually just lay them out on a paper towel, or, if the pot is big enough, right in the soil beneath the existing succulent.

Eventually you will get little sprouts on the end of the leaves, and little roots will start to grow!

Once the leaf is shriveled up, carefully remove it. You will want to put your new baby succulents on top of some soil so they can start to take root. Spray them with a spray bottle every so often.

And that's it! Soon you will have an entire house full of succulents.
