DIY Outdoor Bar

Updated: Jul 14, 2023

With so many guests of the food trailer on Opening Day, we decided it would be a great idea to create DIY Outdoor Bar that would not only be functional, but also match the aesthetic of the Field Market.

We sourced an old stripping room door and some old beams from the Tobacco Barn and got to work!

First we built the frame out of pressure treated 2x4s, and then began piecing together the top of the bar. The best way to seal the top, and make it water resistant is with Table Top Epoxy (marine-grade is always a great choice!)

Once the top was sealed, we added sides and stuck it in the Field Market field! We added a roof, and now we have shade and weather protection as well.

Our hope is that this will be a great place for guests to use as they wait for their food from the Food Trailer, get some shade, and enjoy their time at the Field Market.

The Field Market runs the 2nd + 4th Saturday 9am-1pm June-November. Admission is free, and leashed dogs are allowed. To find out what is coming up on the farm, join our email list!
